Portia Ann Raines Brown Grant

Portia Ann Raines Brown Grant, 69, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Rex Odom officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Portia was born in Macon, Georgia to the late George Washington and Willie Pauline Raines, Sr. She was a member of Unionville Baptist Church. Portia was retired from AT&T as a Telephone Operator with over 20 years of service.

She is survived by her son, Anthony Carlyle Brown and daughter-in-law, Michelle Brown of Marietta, GA, two grandchildren, Gabrielle Brown and Alexis Brown, sisters, Georgia Raines and Anita Raines, brothers, George Washington Raines, Jr. and Brandon Carver, nephew, Diarra Raines, nieces, Ayanna Raines and Miranda Glover.
