Perry Lee McInvale

MACON - Perry L. McInvale, 85, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Flint River Memory Care Center. A celebration of life will be held at 11A.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Forest Hills United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dianne Sweckard officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church. The family requests that memorial contributions be may be made to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.

Mr. McInvale was born in Vienna, Georgia to the late Ezma Grace Knight McInvale and Eddie Lee McInvale. He graduated from Dooly County High School. He was retired from Thorpes Men Store as shoe department manager after over fifty years of service. He was a charter member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church, former member of the administrative board, Men's Chorus, Visitation Team, Men's Prayer Breakfast, and the Grace Sunday School Class. He was also a former member and past President of the Macon Civitan Club.

Mr. McInvale is survived by his wife, Mary W. McInvale of Macon; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl M. (Jeff) Bowen of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, Melody and Stephen Choate, both of Jacksonville, FL; two step grandchildren, Damon and Kiley Bowen, both of Orange County, California; one brother, Joe B. McInvale of Albany, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.
