Peggy W. “Nana” Denny, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 6, 2019. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Mixon and Rev. Cile Mitchell officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Peggy was born in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Emory and Lila Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. “Max” Denny. She was retired from Macy’s Department Store. Peggy was a former member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Bloomfield United Methodist Church. She was involved with the United Methodist Women’s Group, Busy Bees and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Randy “Bubba” Denny of Gordon, Sheila (Ronnie) Bush of Lizella, grandchildren, Brandi (Steven) Rogers of Macon, Jessica (Joshua) Thigpen of Macon, great grandchildren, Destinee Heath, Nate Heath, Madyson Heath and Brantley Thigpen.
