Pauline Hatten Hood, 87, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July, 31, 2021 at Forest Hills United Methodist Church with Revered Teresa Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends on Friday, July 30 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hood was born in McRae, GA to the late Henry Hatten and Elsie Ashley Hatten. She was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church and the former Insurance Women of Macon. Mrs. Hood worked in insurance and retired as a manger from Cigna. She enjoyed motorcycle riding and scuba diving with her husband. And also enjoyed traveling and attending sporting events, especially the Falcons, Braves and Georgia Bulldogs with her friends. She was a loving wife, step-mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley Hood, Jr.
Survivors include her step-children, Barbara Wolfe (Ron), Jamie Padgett (Daryl), James Wesley Hood, III and Joseph Raymond Hood (Veronica); eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Jerry Burket (Robert), Jimmy McCarter (Mary), Wanda Knappenberger, William Dixon (Lanna) and Tommy Beach; numerous great nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
