Adam attended Tattnall Square Academy and Central High School. He was an artist, a musician, writer, and master wood craftsman. He spent several years using his wood working talent at Dassault Falcon Jet and Custom Aircrafts where he specialized in making unique cabinetry for corporate jet airplanes. His completed pieces were a work of art.
Adam found solace and freedom atop his beloved motorcycle. The open road offered him a sanctuary where he could feel the wind in his hair, the rumble of the engine beneath him, and a sense of unbridled liberation. His passion for riding reminded us all to embrace life's adventures and find joy in the simplest moments.
He was preceded in death by his step-son, Dylan Matthew Johnston, his mother, Linda Walton Newkirk, his grandparents, Omie Spillers Thomas, Paul Anderson Duffy, Sr., Lois Perry Duffy, and his aunts, Faye Walton and Katherine Duffy Crownover.
Adam is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Alesia Sewell Duffy; step-daughter, Lauren Alyse Johnston; father, Andy Duffy (Paul Anderson Duffy, Jr.) (Shelby); step-grandchildren, Aaden, Arabella and Matthew Johnston; aunts, Janet Walton and Melanie Duffy Taylor; along with many cousins. Adam loved his stepchildren and grandchildren as though they were his very own. The grandchildren affectionately called him “Poppy.” He adored them and was very proud to be a part of their lives from the day they were born. They will forever cherish the times they shared and memories they have of him.
Adam's personality was one of a kind and he was always putting other people first. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his name to Friends of Recovery Foundation, Recovery Central, 1305 W. Markham Street, Little Rock, AR 77201, (www.recoverycentral.info) an organization that was near and dear to his heart.
