Paul Lewis Caldwell, 78, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025. The family will greet friends from 9:00 am - 10:00 am, Friday, January 24, 2024 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Macon Memorial Park. A celebration of his life will follow at 10:00 am with Rev. Mark Thornton officiating. Interment will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Caldwell was born October 22, 1946, in Macon to the late Howard Eugene Caldwell and Lucille Stephens Caldwell. He honorably served his country with the United States Navy, including service in Vietnam, where he earned many medals including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device. Mr. Caldwell was a retired technician for Johnson Controls in Macon and former pipefitter for Local Union #472 in Macon. He found much joy in riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA). Mr. Caldwell was a former recreational league football coach for many years at the Macon Midget League and was an avid supported of high school football. He was preceded in death by a brother: Mark Caldwell.
Mr. Caldwell is survived by his wife of fifty-five years: Ada Caldwell; children: Bonnie Grantham (James)
Chris Caldwell, Donavon Caldwell (Michelle) and Patrick Caldwell (Jancy); grandchildren: Jason Caldwell (Amber), Christopher Caldwell, Austin Caldwell (Kayla), Alex Mave, Luke Caldwell, Nklo Kurtz and Devyn Kurtz; great-grandchildren: Noah Caldwell and Harrison Caldwell; siblings: Pat Hill, Buster Caldwell, Susan Wilson (Bill) and Rex Caldwell.
