Patricia Ann Ball Roberts, 75, passed into everlasting life with God and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 30, 2011, peacefully at home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Craig Holmes and Rev. Justin Teate will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 PM Saturday at Macon Memorial Park and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Gilead Baptist Church, 4800 Ivey Drive, Macon 31206.
Mrs. Roberts, a native of Athens, Tennessee, was the daughter of the late Lois Brown Ball and Wilson E. Ball and the widow of Ernest Earl Roberts, her husband for 55 years. Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and member of Gilead Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Leslie Ann Roberts.
A beautiful example of the godly virtuous woman found in Proverbs 31, Mrs. Roberts was an inspiration to all who knew her, and her contagious smile affected everyone she encountered. She found complete contentment and fulfillment in caring for her family—a loving husband and seven wonderful children. As a former resident of Milledgeville, Mrs. Roberts served alongside her husband in their ministry for retirement home residents.
She is survived by her seven children: Dawn Ashley (Jake Cone) of Bolingbroke, GA; Deborah Griffis (Larry) of Zebulon, GA; Michael Roberts (Kimberly) of Charleston, SC; Dr. Scott Roberts of Martin, TN; Diane McGalliard (Rusty) of Macon, GA; Denise Stroud (Chuck) of Macon, GA; and Mary Ann Roberts of Musella, GA. She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A brother, Dan Wilson Ball (Annette) of Cumming, GA, also survives Mrs. Roberts.
