Patricia “Pat” Brown Fountain, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 7, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 in the chapel of Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tim Long officiating. Family will greet friends an hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM.
Pat was born in Macon, Georgia on July 4th to the late Evelyn and Paul Brown. As a teenager Pat entered the workforce at Chi-Ches-Ter’s Pharmacy where she enjoyed working under Dr. Chichester. Later she worked at C & S Bank as a bookkeeper. During this time, while attending East Macon Methodist Church she met the love of her life, Gene Fountain and after a year they married on March 20, 1964. A few years later when her children were born, Pat made the decision to stay home and raise her three children and a niece. Pat enjoyed being on the go, so once her children were out of school she began working again and eventually retired from Macon State as a division secretary in the business department after more than 20 years.
Above all, Pat loved Jesus with all of her heart, and it showed by how she served others. She was a member of First Evangelical Church where she expressed her servant’s heart by teaching Sunday school, working with the children ministry and choir, singing in the choir, and being the church treasurer for a period of time. Patricia was a doer, when she saw a job that needed to be done, she took initiative to do it. She was organized and had a plan for everything. Even in recent months, Pat had ongoing projects for others, including crocheting, quilting, sewing, items for other people. She never met a stranger and just loved people.
Those welcoming Pat into Heaven include, her parents and brother, William “Buddy” Brown.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of almost 61 years, Gene Fountain; children, David (Angela) Fountain, Sharon Edwards (Chad), Glen (Katrina) Fountain; niece, Michele Lester (Eric); grandchildren, Abbie Stembridge (Tyler), Ethan Edwards (Taylor), Evan Lester, Micah Fountain; step-grandchildren, Glenn Canepa (Alexis), Stephen Canepa (Peighton), Jewelynn Canepa; great-grandchildren, Millie Kate Stembridge and Eleanor Stembridge; sister, Louise Ogden (John); several nieces and nephews.
