The graveside service will be held at 2 PM Sunday at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Rex Odom and Rev. Landon Crenshaw officiating. The family will receive friends at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home from 1 PM until 2 PM.
Mrs. Simmons was born to the late Harvey and Florence Hawkins. She graduated from Warner Robins High School. Mrs. Simmons retired from the banking industry and was a member of Heritage @ Bass United Methodist Church. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Michael Whatley.
She is survived by her husband, Jason Simmons ; daughter, Sarah Whatley; son, Caleb Whatley and his wife Jennie; brother, Harvey Hawkins, Jr. and his wife Freddie; two sisters, Debra Stephens and her husband Randy and Judith Chandler; three grandchildren, Ethan Bell, Ashtan Bell and Braxton Whatley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
