Osburne David Liles

David Liles, 76, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at a local hospital. Funeral services and his life’s celebration will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2013 with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Jordan will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2 p.m. to service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Liles, son of the late John Orman Liles. Sr. and Hallie Edna Carroll Liles, was a lifelong resident of Macon. He served with the U. S. Army and was a salesman with Miss Georgia Bakeries. Mr. Liles loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Gray and was the brother of the late Patricia Horne.

Survivors include the family he cherished, his wife of fifty-four years, Betty Jean Liles of Macon; his daughter, Pam Wammock (Brad) of Jones County; his son, Mike Liles (Julie) of Macon; four beloved grandchildren, Justin and Ryan Wammock of Jones, Co. and Josh Owens and Matt Benton of Macon; his brother, John Liles, Jr. (Betty) of Macon; his sisters, Edna Cranford (Jackie) of Jones County and Ladonna Hall (Luther) of Warner Robins; several nieces and nephews.
