Opal Hodkinson Nelson, 89, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Paul Dziadul will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM on Saturday and ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Dover, Arkansas the daughter of the late Guy and Stella Mae Dawson Hodkinson. She was a homemaker and a private caregiver. Mrs. Nelson was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bruschke of Centerville; granddaughters, Stephanie Groce, Summer Johnson, and Siera Bruschke; 4 great-grandchildren.
