Arrangements under the directionOpal R. Daniel, 89, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. A celebration will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Church, Foster Road. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Rob Farr officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Compassion International, Colorado Springs, CO 80997 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 866 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201.

Mrs. Daniel, daughter of the late William Henry and Allie Grinstead Register, was born in Rentz and resided in Lizella. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Beverly Taylor Daniel. She retired from the Macon-Bibb County Board of Education.

The most important aspects of her life were her Lord and Savior, followed by her beloved husband and family. She was a Proverbs 31 woman who walked out her faith each day with a true servant’s heart, demonstrating the love of Christ in both word and deed to her family and all who interacted with her. She served the Lord at Emmanuel Church where she was a member of the Intercessors Prayer Group. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Robert) McGee of Powder Springs, Beverly (Pratt) Stanley of Lizella, Kim (Steve) West of Macon, Caroline (Jimmy) Stewart of Lizella, grandchildren, Stan (Melissa) Stanley, Jennifer (Bob) Timberlake, Missy (Bryan) Wyatt, Jeremy (Brandi) West, Karley (Pete) Lance, Christin (Noah) Huggins, Daniel Bates and Evan Bates, Gabe (Allison) Stewart and Brittany (Coleman) Almand, sixteen great grandchildren, brother, Burts (Betty) Register of Rentz and sister-in-law, Dorris Register of Rentz and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Church Home for the excellent love and care given to Mrs. Daniel.
