Nell Warren Hicks

MACON – Nell Warren Hicks, 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 04, 2010 in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with the Rev. Dr. Jarred Hammet and Dr. Van Sanders officiating. Burial will be private. The family will meet friends following the service and asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to your charity of choice.

Ms. Hicks was born in Commerce and had lived in Macon most of her life. She earned her BS Degree in Physical Education from Wesleyan College and her Master’s Degree in Education from Georgia College. Ms. Hicks taught Special Ed at Miller Middle School and was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Warren.

Survivors include her children, Beth (Van) Sanders of Cumming, Georgia, Ricky (Angela) Hicks, Brannon (Nancy) Hicks and Henry (Kelly) Hicks, all of Macon; her mother, Gwynelle Rice Warren of Macon and eleven grandchildren.
