Neda Patricia Bullock Crawford went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 25, 2022 after 83 years and a long illness. She requested minimal fanfare with the arrangements so there will be a cremation with no funeral, just a brief private visitation for the immediate family on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Snow’s Memorial Chapel on Pio Nono Ave.
Born in Barnesville, Georgia on May 8, 1939 she moved to Macon with her family as a small child. Briefly, she moved to Portsmouth, Virginia due to her father working in the Naval Shipyard and then moved back to Macon for the remainder of her life. She was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School of Macon in 1957 and in December 1962 she married Leonard L. Crawford of Macon. She was an employee of the Federal Government for 27 years beginning with Robins Air Force Base in 1957. After taking time off to be an at home mother, she later returned to Federal Employment with the Forestry Service and then to the Office of Hearings and Appeals under the Social Security Administration. She was able to return to Robins Air Force Base eventually and retire from there in 1995.
From 1977 until her death, she was a member in good standing of the United Pentecostal Church in Macon and continued her faith at Word Aflame Tabernacle with her final church being the Apostolic Church of Warner Robins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Leonard Lewis Crawford (6-2-1936 to 3-28-2018) and is survived by her children Michael W. Crawford and Laura C. McMurrian; her younger sister , Delinda Charles Gleaton of Cochran, Georgia; nieces, Tracy (Gleaton) Barnes and Shannon (Gleaton) Harper Raley; three grand nieces; and three grand nephews.
