Mary Louise Williams Ross, 100, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Her radiant smile, sweet manner and loving heart will be missed by so many. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Park Memorial Chapel, Mercer University Drive with Dr. Morgan Kerr officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ross was a lifelong resident of Macon and a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church where she served the Lord by leading youth classes in Sunday School, singing in the choir, and helping those in need by organizing benevolence and missions activities and volunteering at the inter-faith food bank. She was retired after working 30+ years at BellSouth where she was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Louise was born in Macon to the late William Alpha Willams and Evie Hammock Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Wilbur Lee Ross; daughter Charlene Vanderhoff; and siblings; Lucille Sutley, Howard Williams and Vera Bailey.
She is survived by her son, Steve Ross of Azle, Texas; daughter Cheryl Lee of Signal Hill, California; grandchildren, Allison (Joe) Thomas of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jennifer Vanderhoff of Macon, Zachary Lee Ross of San Antonio, Texas and John Patrick Ross of Azle; and great granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth Thomas.
The family is grateful to Nunea Leghorn who cared for Mrs. Ross for several years as well as the assisted living residents, aides and staff of John Wesley Villas.
