Mary and I met in the 1970’s at West Virginia University and were great friends until she moved to Georgia in the early 80’s.   Although we weren’t in contact often...as life goes on!
Beth and I reconnected with Mary over lunch in Winchester, Va in early 2015.   We talked for hours catching up...a wonderful day!
Unfortunately, Mark was away for work so we made plans to all meet soon.
This picture I’ve attached was our first chance to meet Mark and Tala, (the photographer)!   A beautiful day, and the beginning of another close friendship, a Caribbean cruise, an evening betting on horse races, (we all came out even!), and several visits in Fredericksburg.   
Mary’s spirit was a gift to us all.

I don’t have a specific memory, but I just truly enjoyed working with Mary. She was always pleasant and funny. Sad to see her leave this earth. 

What an honored knowing Mary' through her late mom. The heaven had earned another set of wings.

Mary was such a beautiful sweet soul. She always had a cute smile and open door with all her friends on Dutch Island. She’ll be missed in our hearts but remembered always. ❤️🙏

Mary,  whom we fondly call Zuric was closest to being my elder sister, being myself the eldest among my siblings.   When they left for the States way back then, I felt that a part of me was taken. Through the years, I longed for them to come visit. But life has its very purpose that with pride and admiration I see the reason at the other end of the thousands miles between us.   She became a nurse. She and Mark found each other and their love flourished to have such beautiful daughters, Sienna and Tala.   

Though distance still find us apart, Mary was always a whispered name when I speak with Him.   She will remain to be in my heart and I will forever be proud and grateful to her for reaching out to me no matter what her predicament was.  I so deeply feel that she prepared all her loved ones of this 2nd life, the eternity of no pain, the assurance of divine love and the meeting of Auntie whom she loved missed so much.  

I love you, dear cousin.  You are among the angels watching over us now.  You will be missed. Until then....till we meet again.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Mary. She was a devoted wife, mother, nurse and co-worker. Some of my best memories are from our days working together in Cardiac Rehab in Savannah.  My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.  Memories of Mary will always be in my heart. 

I worked with Mary at Winchester Medical Center.  She was a kind and sincere woman.  One of my favorite memories of Mary is having to call her and ask her if she knew she was supposed to work that day. She would laugh. On days that she came in,she would say "you didn't have to call me this morning Wendy ". I sure miss working with her.  Prayers for the family.

She is survived by her husband Mark Curry, R.A.; her daughters: Sienna Felton, and Tala Curry; her siblings: Max Abellana Jr., Lilette Intaphan, M.D., Beau Abellana, Helene Colaizzi, Chris Abellana, LeeAnn Bellini, Carmen Vining, Sean Abellana and their families.
