Marvin Wade “Buddy” Fannin, 62, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and from 1:00 p.m. to service time on Friday. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675-8517 or Kitty City Cat Rescue, 4530 Knight Road, Macon GA 31220. Buddy’s family would like everyone to wear casual attire to his service.
Buddy was born in Muleshoe, TX to the late Marvin Wade and Estelle Wilson Fannin. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Douglas, Glen, Duane and Joyce. Buddy served his country in the United States Army and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of First Evangelical Church and attended Ingleside Baptist Church. He enjoyed computers and collecting treasures. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Y. Fannin of Macon, daughter, Bess (Jason) Hallar of Macon, son, David Fannin of Macon, three beloved grandchildren, Nathan, Madisyn and Jackson Hallar, sister, Sharon Holland, brothers, Tim Fannin and Robert Fannin, mother and father in law; Joseph and LaRue Yancey and several nieces and nephews.
