Martha Marrette Black, 92, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Riverside Cemetery (North Gate) with the Rev. Helen Willoughby officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mrs. Black was the widow of Jack Pershing Black and was born in McComb, Mississippi to the late Ollie Belle Marsh Marrette and William Hugh Marrette. She graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in Nursing. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Black is survived by her loving and devoted daughter: Sylvia Black of Macon and Pamela (Stephen) Miller of Atlanta; her special caregivers: Wanda Fuller, Valencia Fuller, Shaneca Owens, Keyarta Finney, Renita Finney and Nornita Finney.
