Mark Lee Thornton, 71, passed away on September 19, 2022. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Madison Street with the Reverend Ron Holland officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time.

Mark was born in Macon, Georgia to the late David W. and LaVerne Thornton. He attended Georgia Southwestern State University. He was a Real Estate Agent for many years, loved music and was a big NASCAR and racing fan.

Survivors include his brother, Tim Thornton (Nancy); and nieces, Ashley Thornton, and Brooke (Steve) Angleś.

Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street has charge of arrangements.
