Marjorie Copeland Hughes, 75, passed away May, 12, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 27, at 2:00pm at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with Rev. Bob W. Hamilton officiating. The family will greet friends following the memorial service. Burial will be private. They ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Heartland Hospice, 200 Northside Crossing, Macon, 31210.
Ms. Hughes was born in Washington County, Georgia, to the late Cladie Copeland and Joyce Joiner Copeland. She was employed at Bass Pro and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. The family would like to especially thank the employees of Bass Pro for all of their support and prayers during this time.
Ms. Hughes is survived by her three children, David Hughes (Bonnie) of Reno, NV, Alan Miller of Los Angeles, CA, and Melinda Hughes Stevens (Tim) of Reno, NV; six grandchildren, Michael and Sarah Hughes, Brady Price, Savannah, Sierra, and Preston Miller, and Kaylen Friederich; great granddaughter, Evelyn Rose Hughes; sister, Peggy Roberts of Riverview, FL; and two nephews, Eric and Jody Roberts.
