Margaret Palmer Reynolds Pollard, 88, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Alfred Palmer will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM Thursday until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Flint River Memory Care, 250 Water Tower Court, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Pollard was born in Macon and was retired from RAFB and Dass Heating & Air as a bookkeeper. She was the daughter of the late Ida Kate Grant Palmer and John Everette Palmer, the widow of Mae Reynolds and John T. Pollard, and was preceded in death by her siblings, John Palmer, Ruby Turner, and Edna Mallory. Mrs. Pollard was a United States Arm Air Corp veteran of W.W.II, a member of Midway Baptist Church where she was former secretary of the building fund.
Mrs. Pollard is survived by her children, Faye Harris (Travis) of Macon, son, M. S. Reynolds of Lizella; grandchildren, Thad Harris (Rebecca), Shannon Harris (Lisa), Heather Harris Edge (Brandon), Michele Hankey; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Holden, Hannah Edge, Noah Harris, Alyssa, James, Kristin Hankey; siblings, Richard Palmer, Dr. Melvin Palmer, Alfred Palmer, George Palmer, Thomas Palmer; foster child, Tara Mimbs; step-children, Linda Payne (George), Helen Suarez (Emilio R.) Gerold Pollard (Bonnie); numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
