Macon, GA-- Margaret “Margee” Finley, 55, a resident of Byron, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Pine Pointe Hospice, having fought a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial celebration of her life will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
Margaret is a native of Livermore, Kentucky where she was a graduate McLean County High School. She loved playing softball with the Livermore team. Margaret was a dedicated employee at 3SI Security Systems for 28 years. Margaret loved cycling with Bob Beals and other friends in the mountains of Aspen, Colorado and Macon, Georgia. She loved spending time with her granddaughter, Camber, and family. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, and tending to her yard and garden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey David Finley, of Kentucky; her parents, Wilbur Fitzhugh and Elizabeth “Betsy” Ann Ferguson Boyken; and brother, Lannie Neal Boyken all of Livermore, Kentucky.
Survivors include her son Jeffery David (Haven) Finley, II ;granddaughter, Camber Finley; brothers, Elbert Lewis (Lisa) Boyken, Thomas Mark (Sandie) Boyken; sisters Michele “Mikkie” McPherson, Susan A. (Joe Dickerson) Boyken; and companion, Dr. Robert “Bob” Beals; many nieces and nephews.
