A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Snow's Memorial Chapel, 1419 Bass Road, Macon, GA with the visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private for family only in Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia. Rev. Paul Dziadul will officiate.
Mr. Mock was born on September 28, 1937 in Savannah, Georgia the son of the late Louise Williams Mock and Madison Otis Mock, Sr. He was preceded in death by two children, Rebecca Jolene Mock and Tara Mock Hamilton.
He was a graduate of Benedictine Military School, class of '55, and Armstrong Atlantic University, class of '77. He was a past unite commander of the 165th Communications Flight, 165th Air Transport Group, Georgia Air National Guard, having served as both enlisted and as a commissioned officer.
Mr. Mock was retired as the former Vice President and CIO of Central Georgia Health System, now Atrium Health Navicent, where he served in that capacity from 2002 until 2008. He was active in community service, as was a past president of the Macon Downtown Lion's Club, and a member of the Macon Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee as the representative of the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Mr. Mock is survived by his wife, Debra Vaughn Mock; son, Christopher Mock (Sherri) of Gray; daughter, Gena Mock Thomas (Joe) of Crawfordville, Florida; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, Macon, GA has charge of arrangements.
