Mack T. Jones

Mack Tyler Jones, Sr. was greeted in Heaven by his Lord and Savior on August 30, 2017. A celebration of his life will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Lizella Baptist Church with the Rev. Shannon Back officiating. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville. The family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono. Mr. Jones, son of the late Garland F. Jones, Sr., was born in Richmond, VA and proudly served four years with the U. S. Marine Corps attaining the rank of Corporal. He was a project manager with Macon Water Authority and served as an active member and deacon of Lizella Baptist Church.

Mack was a gifted problem solver. He approached all of his endeavors with honesty, dedication, integrity, hard work and perseverance. His heart was deeply rooted in his love for farming, cattle, and all things agriculture. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and faithful follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his beloved family, his wife, Sherril Jones; his children, Shay (Geoff) Fowler, Mack Tyler (Rachel) Jones, Jr., and Heather (Jesse) Flury; five grandchildren, Raegan Flury, Charlotte Flury, Harper Fowler, Miles Fowler and Mack Tyler Jones, III; his mother, Ruthella E. Jones; his brother, Doug (June) Jones.

Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
