Linda Gail Morgan, age 73, went to be with her Heavenly Father on August 30, 2023. Linda was born March 31, 1950, in Harriman, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Boyd and Charlene Morgan. At the age of ten, she moved to Macon with her family in September 1960 and spent the entirety of her life there never venturing far from home other than a return trip to Tennessee to visit extended family or for an occasional vacation to St. Augustine or Daytona, Florida.
Linda graduated from Dudley Hughes High School in 1969. After graduation, she held a variety of jobs during her lifetime. Linda was a christian, making her profession of faith during a Billy Graham Crusade at the Macon Coliseum in the 1970's, then being baptized and becoming a member of Harvest Cathedral Church in Bloomfield. Her Bible was worn as she studied it daily; she also enjoyed listening to the Beatles and she loved animals. As a child, she relished the company of dogs and cats and this continued throughout her life.
Linda was an individual who sought solitude and solace and now she has it, safe in the arms of Jesus. "Safe in the arms of Jesus, safe on His gentle breast. There by His love overshaded, sweetly my soul shall rest." Rest my Dear sister, until we meet again. I love you. Linda is survived by her sister, Rhonda Haberkamp (Robert) of Lynchburg, Tennessee.
Graveside services will be held at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10:00AM with Pastor Paul Dziadul officiating.
