MACON-Lillian Black Powell, 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October, 24, 2011 at 2:00 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Ron Smith will officiate. The family will greet friends on Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 5:00Pm to 7:00PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Powell was the widow of Samuel A. Powell. She was born in Winnsboro, SC to the late Bertha Wyatt Black and Charlie Henry Black, Sr. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Powell.

Mrs. Powell is survived by her daughter: Barbara (Sully) Sullivan of Houston, TX, son; Roger (Jewellene) Powell of Gray; 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren.
