Lillian was born on September 30, 1927 in Unadilla, Georgia to Leona and Russell King. They later moved to Macon, GA where she graduated from A. L. Miller High School. In Macon, she met and married James A. Gordon Jr. in 1955. They were married 55 years when James passed in 2010. She was employed by several local insurance companies and retired from GEICO in 1986. Lillian was known to many for her sweet spirit, her love of family and friends and her devotion to her Lord. She and James lived most of their lives in Macon where they were faithful members of the Bloomfield UMC. Their latter years were spent in closer proximity to their children.
Lillian is survived by her sister, Beverly Hack of Winston-Salem, NC, daughter Beverly Veale (Scott) of Athens, Ga, son James Gordon III (Valerie) of Douglasville, Ga and grandsons Ethan (Madison) Gordon of Smyrna, Ga and Aaron (Shannon) Gordon of Bowden, Ga. Nephew Dar Hack (Robin) of Winston-Salem, NC.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 22 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home at 1:00PM. A graveside service will follow at 2:30PM in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
