Larry Dale O’Berry, 66, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 surrounded by his family. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Larry was born in Petersburg, VA to the late James Henry and Ethel Frances Rose O’Berry. He was a graduate of Petersburg High School and a member of the 1966 State Champion Football Team. Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was a Senior Manager at Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation. He was an avid fisherman and golfer and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Karen O’Berry of Macon, two sons, Brandon (Venus) O’Berry of Virginia Beach, VA, and A.J. (Amanda) O’Berry of Jackson, GA, grandchildren, Avery, Addison, Kyra, and Amya.
