Kenneth Conrad Parker, 81, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Ron Holland will officiate. The family will greet friends from 4 until 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Mr. Parker was born in Abbeville, Georgia the son of the late Daisy Douglas Parker and Archibald Parker. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of the children, Nell Bray Parker and siblings, Charles Parker, Lawrence Parker, Ira Parker, Louise Cotton, and Edith Warren. Mr. Parker was a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity and an avid Dawg fan. He was retired from the U.S. Treasury Department and was a United States Vietnam Army veteran.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Ila Stewart of Perry; children, Michael Parker of Valdosta and Christopher Parker (Christy) of Douglasville; grandchildren, Zachary Marshall Parker, Camille Bray Parker, Colton Amos Parker, and Conrad Alexander Parker; sister, Carol Krauss (David); numerous nieces and nephews.
