A celebration of life for Mrs. Smith will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Snow's Memorial Chapel, 1419 Bass Road, Macon, Georgia 31210, followed by a visitation. The Honorable Dan Pelletier will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery (Private), 66 Madison Street, Macon, GA 31201. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Northway Church, 5915 Zebulon, Road, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Smith was born May 14, 1926 the daughter of the late Tachie Russell Perry and Bobby Lee Perry and the widow of Jasper Vernon Smith. She was a graduate of Auburn University and developed her own interior design business which spanned 50 plus years. She was a devoted member of Vineville Baptist Church then later Northway Church until her passing. Mrs. Smith taught 5th grade Sunday Schools for years and served her family, church, and friends with deep love and devotion.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Greer Smith Pelletier (Dan); son, Perry Lamar Smith; grandchildren, Claire Weaver (John), Dani Taylor (Chris), Laura Smith (Frankie), Beth Peele (Matt), Rachel Kupperbusch (Zack), Daniel Pelletier (Jenna), and Glenn Smith (Lindsey); great-grandchildren, Caroline, Emily, Perry Catherine, Charlotte, and Mary Margaret Weaver, Alli, Gracie, and Christopher Taylor, Savannah, Rebecca, and Lizzy Smith, Smith Peele, Reese and Harper Kupperbusch, Jules Pelletier, Mason and Lucas Smith; brothers, Jim Perry (Sara) and Jack Perry (Marion); several nieces and nephews.
