Josephine S. Williamson

Josephine Shelley Williamson, 91, passed away at her residence on December 31, 2014. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, January 4 at 2 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Chris Minton and the Reverend Shannon Back officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday, January 3 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. The family requests that donations be made to Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 S. Lizella Road, Lizella 31052.

Mrs. Williamson was born in Macon to the late Nettie Mae Davis and John Ramsey Shelley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Burnette Williamson, Jr. and her grandson, John Daniels. Mrs. Williamson was a member of Lizella Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Lizella Chapter Lodge 390. Mrs. Williamson retired from Crawford County Board of Education.

Survivors include her children, Samuel B. Williamson of Dahlonega, Bobby (Kimberly) Williamson of Macon, Annette Jones of Warner Robins and Jean (Henry) Lockhart of Niceville, Florida; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her nephew, George (Sharon) Shelley of Ocala, Florida and several great nieces and nephews.
