I just was told that Joe passed away. I worked with him at Old South Pawn for around 15 years doing jewelry repair. He was a very honorable man and very capable of bringing a smile to your face. Tony Meeks

I met Mr.Joe when I first started working for his wife ,Mrs.Dolores, after I graduated high school. Little did I know taking this job would change my life completely. We were able to share many parties together, and they truly made you feel like you were apart of the family.
Mr.Joe was such a kind man, he was always helping others around him and making them laugh. I’m forever grateful that he was apart of my life and everything that he’s done for my family and me. May he Rest In Peace. 💗🕊

Joe Kendrick was one of my favorite customers at S&S cafeteria everyday he would come in I would always asked him was he hiring he always told me no not right now. After months of asking him he came in one day he asked me are you still looking for a job I told him yes. He said I’m not hiring but my wife is he told me to go put a application in. That’s how I meet the Kendrick’s they were always helping an any way that could. I’m so grateful to have met them. There the ones  who helped me get my first house. I will always be thankful everything they have done for me.  I’m saddened that Mr.Kendrick is no longer with us. May he’s soul Rest In Peace. 

Working for the Kendricks has brought nothing but prosperity to my life. Joe was the kindest soul; from helping me acquire my first car to getting financial help for my college tuition. I have nothing but love and gratitude for Mrs. Dolores and Mr. Joe Kendrick. Sending healing prayers and my deepest sympathy as we remember him. As Joe would always say, “SEE YA.” We’ll miss you dearly. With love, Glenda.

I worked for Joe for 22 years, and let me say that it was the best 22 years of my life.  Joe treated me like a son, and he became more than a boss or mentor, he became a father in every way except blood.  He was my friend.  I started working at Old South when I was 19 years old, and Joe was the best thing that ever happened to me.  He taught me what it takes to be successful, he taught me about real estate, he taught me about stocks, he made me a much better person.  I love Mr. Joe with all of my heart.  My  condolences to you Mr. Dolores, Brad, Scott, and all of the rest of the family.  If you need me, call me.

Joe was one of the best! I worked for him and his wife, Delores. One day I mentioned I wanted to start a garden, and the next day he came to work and  gave me the stuff to plant my very first vegetable garden! Prayers for his family.

Joe is survived by his wife, Dolores Singletary Kendrick of Juliette; children, Scott Kendrick of Macon, Brad Kendrick (Paula) of Bolingbroke; grandchildren, Amanda Kendrick, Holly Kendrick, Kristen Kendrick (Brenden Harvey); great-grandchildren, Skylar Harvey, Jordan Harvey, and Tyler Harvey.
