John Barney Grizzle Jr., age 84, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Rev. Paul Dziadul will officiate. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.
Mr. Grizzle was born in Macon, Georgia the son of the late Ellen Busbee Grizzle and John Barney Grizzle, Sr., and was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Williams. He was retired after 41 years from Riverwood/Georgia Kraft as a tour foreman. Mr. Grizzle was a United States Navy veteran and loved to cook, garden, and to be with his family.
Mr. Grizzle is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnston Grizzle; daughters, Pennie Preston (Rick), Kellie Carr (Matt), and Hollie Rowe (Jeff); grandchildren, Andrew and Tucker Preston, Jordan Carr, Jonathon and Laurel Rowe; great-grandchildren, Greyson Rowe, Carter Rowe, and Mollie Rowe; sisters, Ann Gibbs and Shirley Roberts (I.B.); several nieces and nephews.
