Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel on Pio Nono Ave., with Reverend Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Joel was born in Macon, GA to Sandra Hurst Smith and the late Donald Wayne Smith. He was a graduate of Southern College of Technology, Marietta, GA, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked for Blue Bird Body Company as an Advanced Engineer. He was a member of the Mustang Club Southeastern Foxbodies and enjoyed restoring and driving his Ford Mustang.
A loving son and brother, he is survived by his mother, Sandra Hurst Smith; sister, Jenni (Paul) Wasmer of Tucker, GA; aunts, Margaret Coody, Vienna, GA; Grace (Gene) Sanders of Atlanta, GA and several cousins.
Snow’s Memorial Chapel, 3077 Pio Nono Ave., Macon, GA has charge of arrangements.
