Jimmie “Nannie” Tapley Bedgood, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 14, 2020. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Andy Oxford officiating. Nannie was born in Washington Co., Georgia to the late Gordon and Minnie Tapley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Bedgood; son, Ronald Bedgood; siblings, Florene Hendrix and G. W. Tapley; son-in-law, Walter Gabriel. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a part of the Women’s Mission Group, and David Walton Sunday School Class, while there. To Bolingbroke she was known as Mrs. Claus during the Christmas Parade. Nannie loved to garden and her family was the joy of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Gabriel Bloodworth; grandchildren, Jason (Tonie) Gabriel, Laurie Gabriel (John) Bloodworth, Alex (Reneé) Bedgood, and Scott Bedgood; a handful of great and great great grandchildren; sister, Virgina (Jack) Colston; sister-in-law, Martha Tapley; several nieces and nephews.
