Jessie Mossburg King, age 98 of Winchester, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon, Georgia officiated by Reverend Jack Osburn. The family will greet friends following the service.
She was born on May 25, 1924, to the late John Henry and Mildred C. (Pfeiffer) Mossburg in Washington, Pennsylvania where she attended Clark Grammar School and Washington High School. Jessie was a devoted homemaker and cherished the time spent with her beloved family. She was a member of Lois Rasar Homemaker Club and Council in Macon, Georgia, AARP, and FCE Club of Franklin County, Tennessee. She was a dedicated member of Liberty United Methodist Church and the Julian Tucker Sunday School Class.
Jessie is survived by her loving daughters, Alice King (Paul) Williams of Macon, Georgia, and Beth King (Jim) Gaide of Winchester, Tennessee; and beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kenneth King; and siblings Helen Porter, Alice Richmond, Thomas Mossburg, Evelyn Lindsay, and Freda Ross.
