Janet J. Kirkland, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 7, 2022. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Hamm officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Janet was born in Cadwell, Georgia to the late Charlie C. and Lillie Mae Lowery Jones. She was retired from Bellsouth and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Janet loved breeding dogs in her spare time, as well as baking and sewing. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband, Eli “Butch” Kirkland of Macon, son, Mark (Kristie) Friar; grandson, Kendall Friar; sister, Gayle (Jack) Riddle; nephews, Shannon Riddle and Kelly Riddle; and niece, Delana Curlee. She also leaves behind bonus children, Eli (Laura) Kirkland and Evie (Chris) Hodges; 7 bonus grandchildren; and 7 bonus great-grandchildren.
