James "Jim" C. Williams

James “Jim” C. Williams, 82, of Macon, GA passed away March 19, 2023. A Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Snow’s Funerals and Cremations at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:30 PM at Snow’s Funerals and Cremations at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Dziadul officiating. Interment will be held Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Fort Call Cemetery in Union County, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Gideon’s International, PO Box 28665, Macon, GA 31221 (Bibb and Crawford Counties).

Jim was born in Melborne, FL on January 5, 1941 to Claude Alton Williams and Mary Daphine Rogers Williams. He was employed with Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance for 40 years as the accounting director. Jim was a member and Deacon of Lake Wildwood Baptist Church. He was active in the Gideon’s International in Bibb and Crawford counties for many years. Jim served in the United States Army Reserve during the Vietnam War. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

He is preceded in death by his sons; Stephen Williams and Scott Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Stephen Williams; daughters-in-law; Gretchen Williams and Tammy Batten; grandchildren; Savannah Owens, Thomas C. Williams, and Melanie LaChuga; great-grandchildren; Cooper Joe Owens, Cameron Alan Owens, Nolan Lee Williams, and Georgia Lynn Williams; brother, Michael Bruce Williams; sister, Carolyn Williams Beckman; and several nieces and nephews.
