James Edward Tidwell Jr., 73, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The family will greet friends Monday, November 4, 2024 from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Snow's at Macon Memorial Park. A celebration of his life will follow at 2:00pm, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Long officiating. Interment will be at Macon Memorial Park.
Mr. Tidwell was born February 7, 1951, in Byron to the late James Edward Tidwell, Sr. and Mary Cody Tidwell. He was a member of First Evangelical Church in Macon and a retired driver for the Macon Transit Authority. Mr. Tidwell was a former winner of the Bus Rodeo in Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, westerns and working on automobiles. Mr. Tidwell was preceded in death by a son: Christopher Tidwell.
Mr. Tidwell is survived by his children: Deanna Krepps (Tim), Denise Thompson (Richard), James Tidwell, III (Elizabeth), Caleigh Pearson, Terri Eisman (Patrick) and Kimberly Pearson; grandchildren: Tyler Krepps, Makayla Krepps, Blake Thompson, Christian Eisman, Sarah Short, Paisley Pearson and Carter Droeder; companion: Bonnie Pearson.
