James Chandler McNorrill, 87, passed away July 4, 2022. A celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Vineville Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Kremer officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Mr. McNorrill was born in Waynesboro, GA to the late Thomas Fletcher McNorrill, Sr. and Martha Ann Chandler. He was a veteran of The United States Army and was a retired computer operator from Robins Air Force Base. Mr. McNorrill was a faithful and devoted member of Vineville Baptist Church. He always supported his church members and loved to bake for them. Mr. McNorrill was a long time choir member and received Deacon Emeritus after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Rebecca Sunday School Class and the XYZ club.
Mr. McNorrill was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Frances H. McNorrill; sister, Betty Dimmick Weeks; brother, Thomas McNorrill, Jr.; niece, Wendy McNorrill; brother-in-laws, Bob Dimmick, Elmo Weeks, Jack Pethel and Jack Smith
Survivors include his sister-in-laws, Ann McNorrill, Mary Smith and Colleen Pethel; nieces and nephews, Jan (Dean) Laskey, Terri (Bruce) Wilson, Nancy (David) Duncan, Stan (JoAnn) Pethel, Margie (Terry) Park, Sharon Dionne, Rebecca (Mark) Harris, Charles Henderson, Walter (Mary) Dimmick and Nancy Bissell; several great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Vineville Baptist Church or Macon Rescue Mission.
