JULIETTE – Dr. James D. Judd, 85, passed away Friday, June 10, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rob Robinson will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1 until 2 PM Monday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Malawi Mission Fund, c/o Thomaston Road Church of Christ, 5859 Thomaston Road, Macon 31220.
Dr. Judd was born in Somerset, KY and was a United States World War II Marine veteran. He was a missionary for the Thomaston Road Church of Christ and was the son of the late James Claude Judd and Mary Jane Birchfield Judd.
Dr. Judd is survived by his wife, Clydene “Dene” Judd of Juliette; children, Randy Judd of Jones County, Ed Judd of Dawsonville, Phillip Judd of Valdosta, Deborah Judd Horne of Juliette and Beverly Judd Selph of Houston, TX; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Judd of Dublin, Ed Judd of Macon and William Judd of Milledgeville; sisters, Beverly Smith of Macon and Clara Matthews of Milledgeville; numerous nieces and nephews.
