James David Elliott, Jr., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Lane officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
James was born in Jasper County, Georgia to the late James David Elliott, Sr. and Bell Bloodworth Elliott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hudgins Elliott and two sons, Frankie Lynn Elliott and Billy Jump. James was retired from Brown and Williamson as an electrician and was a Shriner. He was a member and was known as the “peppermint pop” at Hardison Baptist Church. James enjoyed NASCAR, Georgia Bulldogs, and college football. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by his children, Michael Elliott of Macon, Terry (JoAnne) Elliott of Macon, Lisa Williams of Byron, Wesley (Pam) Jump of Louisville, KY, and Brandi (Bryant) Griffitts of Byron, fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brother, Jerry (Sue) Elliott, several nieces and nephews, and his loving companion, Louise Hawkins.
