Helen Smith Stafford

MACON – Helen S. Stafford, 73, passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Tommy Powell will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish make memorial contributions to the Good Shepherd Worship Center, P. Box 339, Barnesville, GA 32024.

Mrs. Stafford, daughter of the late William Thomas Smith and Geather Jordan Smith, was born in South Carolina and was a graduate of Stedman High School in North Carolina. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Good Shepherd Worship Center.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Walter T. Stafford of Macon; her children, Beverly S. Courson (Thomas J.) of Brunswick and Lisa Stafford of Waycross; her grandchildren, Alex Courson and Caroline Stafford and several nieces and nephews.
