A visitation for Coe will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Snow's Funerals & Cremations at Macon Memorial Park, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, Georgia 31204, followed by a Celebration of his Life at 11:00 AM. Rev. Paul Dziadul will officiate. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Coe was born in Portsmouth, Virginia the son of the late Margaret Louise Smith Yates and Harvie Roscoe Yates, Sr. and was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Brent Yates and his sister, Margaret Lynn Scott. He was retired as a kitchen designer/consultant and engineer at Lynco Restaurant Equipment and was a United States Navy veteran. Coe was also a shriner.
Coe is survived by his son, Harvie Joseph Yates; nieces and nephews, Bob & Renee Puryear, Scott & Cindy McDonald, Chris Scott, and Chanse and Kim Scott; mother of his children, Gwin B. Yates; 4 great- nephews and one great-niece; one great-great nephew.
