Harry S. Ullmann, 85, passed away Monday, September at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Len Strozier and Mark Magnoni will officiate. The family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Ullmann, son of the late Paul A. Ullmann and Frieda Loeschersner Ullmann, was born in Germany and moved to America in 1950. In 1951, he was drafted and proudly served with the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a paratrooper and was always an avid supporter of the American Flag and all it stood for. For forty-four years, he was plant manager with Borden Co. Mr. Ullmann was a member of the Dixie Seniors Golf Association and a member of the Thursday Bowling League. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Auxiliary for the Methodist Home for Children and Youth. He was the brother of the late Gerhardt Ullmann, Hines Ullmann and Edith Ullmann.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by those he loved most, his wife, Joyce J. Ullmann of Macon; his children, Dr. Terry (Mona) Ullmann of Panama City, FL and Tony Ullmann of Macon and his grandchildren, Chris (Lynn) Ullmann and Monica DeMott of Dothan, AL, and great granddaughter, Isabella Ullmann of Raleigh, NC .
