Gloria Young Knight, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 30, 2023. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Garner officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. at service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 7495 Knoxville Road, Lizella GA 31052.
Gloria was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Clarence Tapley and Evelyn McCommon Young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Lee Knight and her son, Richard Keith Knight. She was retired as a bookkeeper from Terminal Transport Company. Gloria was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her nieces, Sandra (Charles) Beaty of Canton, Debra (Gregg) Giddens of Loganville, Karen Edwards, Charlene Dent, nephews, Ronnie (Rose) Edwards, David (Brenda) Young, and Dean (Judy) Young.
