Gladys F. Jones, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with the Reverend Tim Long officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday night from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Gladys was born in Gordon, Georgia to the late Walter Lee and Georgia Mae Fountain. Gladys was a member of First Evangelical Church. She retired from Union Switch. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived her daughter, Sheila Ogletree (Bruce Cook); son, Danny Ogletree (Patricia); 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Grace Kelley; brother, Eugene Fountain (Pat); and several nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Ogletree, Jr.; second husband, Byron A. Jones; son, Byron Jones, Jr.; and daughter, Linda Hammock.
