George Cooper Bussey, 82, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Mausoleum Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Wesley Kaylor officiating. Entombment will be in the Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service during a reception in the Mausoleum Chapel. Mr. Bussey was born in Oglethorpe, Georgia to the late Willie and Artie Perry Bussey and was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Mercer Bussey. He served in the United States Navy and retired from the Army Reserve as a Warrant Officer. Mr. Bussey later retired from civil service. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was a carpenter and cabinet maker.
Survivors include his sister, Aline Bussey Grace; several nieces and nephews; step children, Michael Lovett and Beverly Lovett Jackson; and companion, Annie Hester.
