Gary Wayne Middlebrooks, 52, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Norm Yukers will officiate. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 until 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church, 1848 Tucker Road, Macon 31220.
Mr. Middlebrooks was born in Macon and resided most of his life in Byron. Mr. Middlebrooks was an engineer with Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, and loved motocross, the railroad and his family.
Mr. Middlebrooks was the son of the late Nina Smith Middlebrooks. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Smith Middlebrooks of Byron; children, Brent Middlebrooks (Robyn) of Macon, Brandon Middlebrooks (Lacey Jade) of Byron, Randall White of Byron, and Chad White (Krista) of Newnan; 4 dearly loved grandchildren; father, Fred T. Middlebrooks (Wanda) of Byron.
