Frank E. Wood, 83, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Rd. with Dr. Josh Gale officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Frank was born on March 28, 1940 in Enterprise, Alabama to the late Gladys Briggs and Henry Lawrence Wood. He provided many years of service to his country in the United States Army. Mr. Wood was a man of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Frank was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend and will be truly missed by all.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Gayle Wood; daughter, Tana Wood Cole (Gregg); numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
